Easily the best neighborhood bar I've ever been to. I live in the neighborhood, but just recently came in for the first time about a week ago with a couple friends. The place is pretty small, their bar holds maybe 12-15, with a handful of booths and tables and then 2 pool tables and some games in the back. It's so cozy! Definitely has that dark dive bar vibe but without the dirty run-down feel or staff with bad attitudes. The place is spotless - I know it's fairly new (a year maybe? 2 years? Not sure) but they keep it pretty clean. We sat at the bar, and were taken care of by Dionna... The sweetest friendliest bartender I think I've ever met! Very helpful, funny, and just a genuinely nice person. We also came on a Tuesday, where they have their $1 ground beef tacos (which were very tasty) and along with happy hour, it's such a cheap place to grab some drinks and food and just hang out. (Their menu is pretty small, wings and pizza, burgers etc) Altogether I had a Boulevard Wheat and 3 tacos and my tab was $6. I was pretty happy. They have probably 8 beers on tap, a decent selection of cans,bottles and liquor, and some big screen TVs if you're trying to watch a game. All in all it was such a refreshing experience. I can see coming here frequently for a drink or a bite or just for the good service and company. I definitely recommend checking this place out!

Awesome buried jewel! A must try are the: Prime Rib Sandwich, Parmesean Chicken Wings, or Philly Cheesesteak your possibilities are endless. My co-workers and I ventured into this spot off of a recommendation...wow how our lunch break blossomed. The waitress Christina was more than polite and the food once ordered came out timely you can also call ahead.

I got Lots of bang for my bucks,yummy on our previous visit we had the chicken wings &fries,my daughter had the plain ones I had Parmesan & Garlic they were delicious,I'm going go back for some more of this good food I thinking about teriyaki wings,pizza or my a philly cheese steak I thought I saw prime beef sandwich on the menu. I know I love this food and it portions this place has pool tables and well stocked bar for those who swerve can get their swerve on or shoot your shots. Entertainment,Enjoyment, and Eats.

It's a cool little laid back bar, nice hole in the wall. Owners are good people. If you go make sure you put money in the jukebox as soon as you get there . Food is good, all in all a cool little spot.

Well, I decided to drop in to grab some grub to go since its right around the corner from work. I have to say, the patty melt was really good and I opted for an upcharge to get the Tiger Tots (shredded zuchinni/carrots rolled into tots) served with white bean hummus. Those were quite good as well but wish there were more in a serving. (Not that I needed to eat more). I think I'd like to come back and try the pork tacos next!

(See updates below) My friend and I ordered lunch at the Tiger Tail. I had the patty melt. It was delicious, A big burger on really good rye bread with a huge tomato slice and lettuce. The fries were very fresh and crispy. My friend have the Pork Tacos. She said the pork was melt in your mouth tender. She hates cilantro but the mixture of onions and cilantro over the pork has her rethinking her feelings about cilantro. She said it was awesome. ***** UPDATE ***** They got rid of the chef. Now it's standard bar food and not good bar food. Such a disapointment. Never going back. The manager or owner was totally rude. Cheap booze is never a good enough reason for bad attitudes. The owner contacted me and said he has had rave reviews for the food. Four out of five were from the former chef's food. Plus there is a rumored shooting that occurred there. Still never going back.

Had the pulled pork tacos n it knocked my socks off go for the food and cheap beer and leave with an entertaining story for Jordan. A well traveled trail blazers who has taken over the bones that used to inhabit a business that served Kansas City for several decades. Without places like this our city would lose its charm, rep your city....u won't regret it! Oh, start with the Happy Hour the prices on beer is one of the cheapest in the city :)
